Hi all, here’s a post to keep you updated on Theme it app‘s current situation.
UPDATE2 : That’s it ! Theme it app is now iOS5.1.1 compatible….
Before anything else i want to say a huge thanks to @codedit , @imrel0ad and Ti’s ex-dev for the amazing work they have been doing these past few weeks. Still yesterday, i spent the entire day with @codedit to finally have a stable version ! couldn’t believe it ourselves, haha
We’re very happy to be able to have ti on 5.1.1 and can now start working on the brand new and clean v2 for iOS6 with peace of mind.
Now, please be a little patient as we will have lots of new themes and updates to process in the coming days, everything will be there as soon as possible.
UPDATE 1 : Hi again, ok so the ex-dev has been doing great progress and i was hoping to have a release today but unfortunately there’s still an issue with installs… this is driving me nuts.
BUT in the meantime we did setup a solution for users to be able to download and install their previous purchases.
To do so here’s how :
- Login to your account on the website (themeitapp.com) & go to “Manage my Themes”
- Set the encryption to “No”
- Then press the “Download Theme” button
- Finally use iFile or SSH to manually install the downloaded package. (see on Cydia’s homepage for a how-to use ssh)
This is not the prefect solution yet, since we’re still waiting on the app to arrive, but at least all clients can now have access to their purchases.
Hope this helps while we find the solution.
Original Post :
As most of you have already noticed Theme it app (v1) isn’t working on iOS 5.1.x at the moment. This is due to to an architecture problem, we have been doing everything possible to get it fixed and haven’t had any success yet.
This has been an issue for the past few iOS updates and to resolve this once and for good we took measures. A new team as been formed and we’ve started working on a brand new Theme it app (v2). We’ve started this new version from scratch to make sure we won’t be having issues like the current in the future, but also to bring you some really cool new features in the app.
Where does that leave us on Theme it v1? well, all hope isn’t lost to have a fix coming asap. The developer that build Ti.v1 has managed to get some free time and is currently trying to bring you all a fix, we’re hoping to have some feedback soon.
As always we’ll keep you posted on the evolution.
Now concerning this upcoming Theme it app v2, the creation process will take some time but things should be amazing. Here are some of the new features it will include :
- New swipe view navigation system (like Path.app, Facebook.app)
- Twitter Sheet integration for easy sharing
- Clearer and faster access to the information
- A dedicated section to manage your purchases
- and much more…
With the arrival in the team of 2 great developers, i named @imrel0ad and @codedit you can expect to have an amazing product down the line.
I hope you’ll understand that this situation isn’t something we’re taking lightly, and want to get it fixed, not only for now, but for the long run as well.
And since i like having happy customers here’s a first mockup preview of the upcoming Theme it app v2.

Best,
FIF7Y
