Ok so many have been asking about this, so here’s a post to keep you up-to-date with the evolution of Theme it app for iPad.
I’ll add screens of the different sections (work-in-progress) and let you know how things advance.
Keep in mind this is currently in development phase and many changes might occur before official public release, but at least you’ll get a taste of what’s coming

Here’s another one we get many questions about.
When Theme it was launched we planned on releasing free themes within 6-8 weeks. How naive of us
we never could expect the impact that Theme it currently has on the iCommunity and the traffic it generates. As some know, we already had a couple server overloads, first was on launch day and another happened after a major update of the app. We have fixed these issues and now have a very stable platform for our users.
But here’s the thing with free themes. THEY WILL GENERATE A LOT MORE TRAFFIC, probably more then paid themes currently do…. and that means one thing : We can’t do it, or at least not now.
There many reasons why this can’t happen at the moment. There’s a technical aspect, we would need a least other dedicated servers. There a financial issue, free themes are… well free
but all the rest on our part isn’t free, servers, manpower to take care of the themes distribution, user support, etc… making this simply impossible for us.
Of course we want it to happen, that’s why we included that button in the app at first, and we’ll keep looking for solutions to be able to make this come true as we know that many, many users would love a nice place to get amazing free themes…. so just stick around and i’ll update this post whenever something new on this subject comes up.
I hope this will help clarify the situation and really make you understand that we want these free themes as much as you do, but we can’t compromise the rest of the app for them.
Take care.
For now the free themes section will be replaced by the contest winners section where you can grab amazing packages from the winners of our contests
*UPDATE 2 : Well since April 5, version 1.1.8 is officially available on our repo (www.themeitapp.com/repo) and works fine on 4.3.1 and now most themers are updating their themes to also make then compatible with the most recent iOS release.
*UPDATE 1 : Today we sent out a beta version of the app that has been running smoothly on 4.3 here. As soon as we get confirmation it works for everyone we’ll prepare the public update.
The devs finally got their brand new devices today and are working like crazy to bring 4.3.1 compatibility.
It should be made available soon (now that they can actually do all the testing in local)
I’ll keep updating this post as soon as i get more feedback from them
Well i guess the best thing is to know what YOU really want this blog to become.
Of course this blog will include important news about the Theme it application, website and blog, some app’s status updates, how-to articles but what else?
Let us know what you’d like to read, share, discover here.
I was thinking on making some ‘top themes’ reviews that would detail Theme it’s best sellers and best rated themes. What do you think?
I’ll be waiting your feedback.
Let’s talk about it
Many users have requested a place where they can get to know more on themes, share with others and get feedback.
Well here it is.
Theme it blog is a place where you’ll get to have the latest news on Theme it, the application, the website but also the themes and everything around them.
You’ll have the possibility to re-group all the un-official mods here and get quick access the what others have to share.
We hope you’ll enjoy this extended service and see you around
